Infinite at the gates of Marseille
Marseille, a real invitation to travel, will undoubtedly make you want to go further and see the most beautiful things in Provence. The white rocks overhanging the calanques appear at the bend in the road. The aromas of the garrigue, the song of the cicadas in the plane trees of the boulevards... everything encourages you to go there.
The Côte Bleue, to the north, has cooler waters than in Marseille, as its rocks plunge into the water more quickly, but beware of sea urchins! The gourmet calissons that you will find here in the smallest shop in the city centre will whisper to you the magnetism of Aix-en-Provence. A city of water, a city of art and Zola, its fountains on the Cours Mirabeau await you on the terrace of the Deux Garçons, the unmissable brasserie. On the way, you will have admired the limestone plateau of the Sainte-Victoire mountain on the right: its summit, the Pic des Mouches, offers a majestic panorama. The vegetation is not quite the same as that painted by Cézanne. Vineyards are everywhere and from vine stocks to vine shoots, here are the Alpilles with Les Baux and Saint-Rémy, the Camargue, beyond the Crau plain with Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the Luberon and its perched villages, l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, the Valensole plateau and its lavender that already evokes Giono: Manosque is not so far away...
On the way, you will be caught by the turquoise waters of the Verdon: it has been flowing for thousands of years at the bottom of its canyon, drawing its majestic gorges... Provence is infinite.
